We have some absolutely beautiful scrapbook projects for you to see today !!!

The first layout  I did with this gorgeous kit is based on this months sketch.
I used the Main kit and the Flower and Embellishment Add ons. I just loved the clear plastic balloons and coloured mine in using ProMarkers, with the basket filled in with a 'Rose Gold' Liquid Pearls.
The photo is one I took in 2009 of a balloon going over the kennel buildings outside my house. We have a lot of balloons going over, with a balloon launch site just down the road from us. So when I saw this sketch and the plastic balloons, I just knew what photo I wanted to use and the effect I wanted to create.
I used a brick stencil and texture paste to extend the look of the buildings brickwork onto my layout and used the Art Quest Mica Colour set from Septembers Tech kit to paint the brickwork. The metal border strip was to mimic the metal railings in the brick walls.

On my second layout I did a lot of paper layering with the banners. My ornate chippie sign was covered in a Vanilla white embossing powder. All the paper edges were edged in Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I then used lots of gesso and the Mica colour set again to wash a little colour under the edges of the outside paper layers. Lots of distressing and some liquid Pearls. This photo is of me many years ago, the first time my husband took me to his homelands in Devon, to this little picturesque place called Fingle's Bridge.

I love these photos I've used on my third layout of my daughter a couple of years ago. She was so busy investigating in the sea water puddle on the beach she never noticed the photographer in action. The blue colour of the paper and torn layers perfectly matched the blue tones in the water and the pink flowers just made Holly's dress pop.
I did some distress punching, as Angelica showed us in a previous Saturday Tutorial, and distressed my papers till they started to tear ( I love doing that to my papers !!! Lol) and then ripped a couple of places more to create the envelope areas for the flowers. A little bit of masking with texture paste, doily and some pearls and voila !

Next I did a card. I cannot do a simple card, I do tend to throw everything at them, but that is me !! So again, lots of distressed layers and inking and splatting. The flowers had the edges covered in some Distress Glitter and then more gesso !

Here's a close up of the detail on the flowers.

Lastly here is what I did with the Tech kit Add on. I loved this and the fact it came with everything white was perfect, its so me !! The frame, after it had been covered in Gesso, had a mixture of stamping with a script stamp in Dove Grey Staz on and masking with texture paste with a Prima mask. I then added Shabby White Stampendous Frantage embossing powder to some of the masked texture paste. I also love a technique of 'Tissue stamping' and then applying the image with a coat of 'Slap it on' (available from Indigo Blu but Mod Podge would do the same thing) There are four flowers around my frame done in this technique.
After all that I then added my embellishments. I did add a few extra white roses to the ones from the Tech kit and a Crystal/Pearl leaf flourish from Prima, cut up and added to the arrangement. This now hangs in my kitchen with some favourite little photos of my children.
